Hello.

If your Pgpool processes are running with user postgres, you can check if
'if_up_cmd' command with user postgres and then you can check result of
command: echo $?
I don't know if pgpool is checking result like 'echo $?'

If you are using some sudo configuration for user postgres, you chan check
file /etc/sudoers
