If you google pgool watchdog it will get to the tutorial. That's what I did. I currently have 4 cluster environments setup using 2 pgpool/watchdog and 2 postgres - master/slave set up

Subject: [pgpool-general: 1326] Question about wathcdog feature

hi,
I am currently researching on 3rd party tool to be used with the postgreSQL.
I am very interested in knowing about the Watchdog feature that pgpool come with.
Before I try out, I have few questions:
1) What is the min and max of nodes that watchdog can support?
2) how does the watchdog work in general?
3) if a cluster of two nodes, how does the watchdog is used to avoid the Shoot The Other Node In The Head (STONITH)?
Thanks~
Ning
