The converted repository was created by Kitagawa. This time I tried
the conversion myself and it seems now converted repository has
branches:

[t-ishii at localhost pgpool-II]$ git branch -a
* master
  remotes/origin/HEAD -> origin/master
  remotes/origin/V1_STABLE
  remotes/origin/V2_0_PARALLEL_UNSTABLE
  remotes/origin/V2_2_6_GRACEFUL_DETACH
  remotes/origin/V2_2_STABLE
  remotes/origin/V2_3_STABLE
  remotes/origin/V3_0_STABLE
  remotes/origin/V3_1_STABLE
  remotes/origin/master

So maybe problem was his tool versions?
