[Pgpool-general] pgpool-II 2.2.5 slamming the CPU

I am not sure of the meaning of the child_max_connections parameter.

The documentation states "If child_max_connections connections were
received, child exits"

The connections are server side (pgpool to db server) or client side (
java/php to pgpool)?
