[Pgpool-general] disconnect

I am running pgpool-II on mac os x.  Using load balancing only. Today  
I see this in my pgpool.log and would like to know what it indicates.

2008-05-14 15:02:16 ERROR: pid 12652: ProcessFrontendResponse: failed  
to read kind from frontend. fronend abnormally exited
2008-05-14 15:02:16 LOG:   pid 12652: do_child: exits with status 1  
due to error
