[Pgpool-general] Detecting reason for different data state

Hello!

We have sometimes the situation, that the data between two nodes is
inconsistent, though both are running.

pgpool detects that and issues the error

pgpool detected difference of the number of update tuples

in the sql reply.

1) It would be nice, if one could match in pgpool if that situation happens
(inconsistent_command or similar) and see which node is detached, so we
can manually add it again.

2) I am really wondering how that happened, as the db backends are
running on port 6543, which is not reachable by the clients -> only
pgpool.

3) I am still missing the logfile feature, will it be available in 2.1b3?
Running pgpool -d 2>&1 | tee LOG is not a very good thingy.

Logging to syslog would be nice, too.

Perhaps I can get my hands on pgpool and hack it myself, if I can take
that time off.

Nico
