[Pgpool-general] Multiple different databases

Is there some way to use one only pgpool II 2.1 instance to send
queries to two different databases serving two different local
applications, one in localhost and the other in another host?

If the only solution is to setup two instances have someone done it in
RedHat like distributions and could share the init scripts?
