[Pgpool-general] read_kind: kind does not match between backends master(69) secondary(8, 2)

Hello

I'm trying to setup pgpool on a debian etch machine.
I have two similiar machines both running debian
etch with postgresql 8.1.5 and pgpool 3.1.1.

config is:
replication_mode = true
load_balance_mode = true
weight_master = 0.5
weight_secondary = 0.5



pgpool starts up and as soon I try to etablish a
connection the above message appears in the
log.

Any suggestions on this?

I saw a similar thread a in this mailing list but my
version of postgresql are both equal.
