[Pgpool-general] Cannot connect outside of box

Not sure what to do about this:
I can connect using psql -p 9999 my_db without issue from the command line
on the Linux box where my database resides.  However, when I try to connect
outside the Linux box using port 9999 on PgAdmin I cannot.  I CAN connect
fine using the normal port of 5432.
Any ideas?
