Ok, I did, and it started. But...

-Start both postmasters
-Start pgpool
-psql -p 9999 ...
-SELECT * FROM ... = OK
-Shutdown main postmaster
-Wait for pgpool to make the health check:

LOG: pid 89915: starting health checking
ERROR: pid 89915: connect_inet_domain_socket: connect() failed: Connection refused
ERROR: pid 89915: health check failed. master XXXXXXXXXX at port 5432 is down
DEBUG: pid 89915: failover_handler called
LOG: pid 89915: starting failover from XXXX(5432) to XXXXX(5432)

-Same SELECT, from the same, open psql:

server closed the connection unexpectedly...

My understaing was that the query should be processed as if nothing has
happened.

Thanks again.

Fernando.
