#
# This file consists of lines of the form:
#
# name = value
#
# Whitespace may be used. Comments are introduced with "#" anywhere on a line.
# The complete list of parameter names and allowed values can be found in the
# pgPool-II documentation.
#
# This file is read on server startup and when the server receives a SIGHUP
# signal. If you edit the file on a running system, you have to SIGHUP the

Please tell us the error details.
Are the application, Pgpool and PostgreSQL running on different servers?
Could you upload the application error messages and Pgpool log?
There may also be hints why the error happened in OS messages such as /var/log/messages.

When the error occured? 2022-03-02 10:15:00?
pgpool log show the following error messages.
----
2022-03-02 10:15:00: pid 23604:ERROR: unable to read data from frontend
2022-03-02 10:15:00: pid 23604:DETAIL: EOF encountered with frontend
----
This messages say that the client (application) disconnected without
the correct procedure to terminate the connection.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with jdbc.
Do you know under what situation this jdbc error occur?
When the application try to establish the new connection to pgpool?
Or there is a connection pooling between the application and pgpool
and when the application try to use the connection that has already
been established?

I look this application log clipped.
Could you upload the log from top to bottom?
