[pgpool-general: 6596] Do all the server needs to be identical.

Hello friends,

Was looking for advise/suggestion from  you.
(Ubuntu 16.04, PG -10, PgPool 3.7.5)

We are using 3 servers combination.
1st server has Pgpool installed,  using fail over and load balancing.
2nd is master and
3rd is slave (synchronous replication used).

2 Questions :-
Can we have different hardware on all the 3 servers ? or we can
have primary and slave and with same hardware configuration and
Pgpool server with diff. hardware configuration.
