[pgpool-general: 5485] Pgpool-II online upgrade from 3.4 to 3.6 with watchdog

Hi All,
We've 2 pgpool 3.4 instances in a HA setup using the pgpool watchdog to control a VIP.  We want to upgrade from 3.4 to 3.6, will pgpool watchdog work witht mixed versions?
I was wondering if we could take one pgpool instance down and upgrade it, then restart and repeat on the other instance.
