[pgpool-general: 5658] Proper way to use pg_rewind

Hi Experts,

Currently we are using rsync whenever master role is changed between servers.  However, since pg_rewind has changed in postgres 9.5 and 9.6 we would like to use pg_rewind when possible.  Please let us know what is the proper way to use pg_rewind.  How can I know when pg_rewind should not be used (after master crash?) can pgpool assist with that?
