I keep getting the message “message length (17) in slot 1 does not match with slot 0(20)” about 20 times every minute.

Which is coming from our application hosts mostly from the same host but we do get from some of the other application hosts.

I have searched google and found others getting the same massage. I have tried ssh config amount pgpool, slave, master. I can ssh between all hosts.
Trust method in pg_hba.conf but not able to fix. I’m only getting the message on our production hosts.

Our setup using a streaming replication with 2 pgpool hosts using watchdog
2 pgpool hosts
Ubuntu 14.04.5
pgpool-II version 3.5.4
2 postgres hosts
PostgreSQL 9.5.4
