[pgpool-general: 5140] Issues with pgpool

Hi
We have implemented pgpool recently with the Celery workers and its running fine. but after some time, we get errors like this and the application GUI doesnt allow us to login till we restart the web server. the same code, etc works fine when we connect to the DB port 5432 but the issue is only with pgpool port.
Could you please advise what can be done to resolve the issue?
StatementError: Can't reconnect until invalid transaction is rolled back (original cause: InvalidRequestError: Can't reconnect until invalid transaction is rolled back) u'SELECT query' [immutabledict({})]
