[pgpool-general: 3228] Split brain or using 3 nodes ?

Hi,

lately we had multiple split brain situations as a result of a
short network problem. What is the recommended solution
against pgpool split-brain?

Will pgpool detect split-brain when run with 3 nodes?

Or better can we use some kind of observer?
