But if I'm not using pg_md5 or running it as a different user then argument
doesn't apply right? From my point of view it's an issue that pgpool is
able to overwrite the file. You could make an argument that pgpool should
create the file with 660 permissions, but I don't see a reason for
*failing* if the permissions are 440.
