[pgpool-general: 2764] pgpool on windows

I want to use pgpool for load balancing read queries against 2 backend postgres servers setup in streaming replication / hotstandby mode. But I want to do this on Windows Server 2012.

Is it possible to run pgpool over cygwin ? 
Any pointers to dos and dont's is much appreciated.
