[pgpool-general: 1678] debug messages and rsyslog

Hello,

I'm struggling a bit on this odd issue I can't understand.

I'm using pgpool-II 3.2.0 and rsyslog to log whatever comes from pgpool to /var/log/messages, everything works pretty fine when turning on any log_* statements.
But I've noticed a big cpu usage by rsyslogd whenever I set debug_level to something other than 0. The strange thing is that I can't find any specific debug messages in /var/log/messages.

I would understand the high througput of messages on rsyslog could have an effect on my server, but I can't find any trace of debug messages on /var/log/messages.
It would seem logic that event debug messages are sent to rsyslog but It seems like all debug messages are sent to stderr and nothing can be done about it. Is that the case ?

Thank's for you help.
