[pgpool-general: 1662] pgpool2 installation with apt-get

Hi

Is that safe to make apt-get installation or you would suggest to always
use source installation?

Currently, I can see that when I run apt-get install pgpool2
The following NEW packagesare installed:
libpgpool0 (from .../libpgpool0_3.1.1-1_amd64.deb) ...
pgpool2 (from .../pgpool2_3.1.1-1_amd64.deb) ...

But when I run pgpool --version it gives
pgpool-II version 3.2.3 (namameboshi)

Is that really 3.2.3 installed? How can verify?

Can I be sure that the latest package will be found by apt-get?
