In both of master and slave.

Next install user defined functions used by pgpool-II onto PostgreSQL.
Execute followings as postgres user on occp17 and osspc18.
"install-functions.sh" can be downloaded here.

 (osspc17 is a master/primary, and osspc18 is a slave/standby.)

BTW, you can read the newer tutrial documents which are for pgpool-II 3.1
and PostgreSQL 9.1.
