Yes, I knew it. But sometimes you have to cope with such antediluvian versions.

BTW, I installed pgpool2 3.1.3-3 on my laptop.

When connecting directly to PG, SSL is enabled.

But, connecting through pgpool, it isn't, and I can see these messages in log :
