Not really related, I had a quick look at the pgpool codebase that was
available in CVS a couple days ago, after noticing that it can't handle
the issue of select nextval() being interpreted as a read-only query,
causing inconsistencies between nodes.

I have a very small patch available, in all its glory, attached. IMHO
It's just a workaround, pgpool should have included a real query parser.

Just googled about pgpool-II and found the page (if that is it). Great
work, I'm looking forward to it :)
