[Pgpool-general] Confused

So the problem I am having is I don't get what pgpoolAdmin is telling me..

I got:

Replication Mode Invalidation Master Slave mode Off Parallel Mode On Load
Balance Mode Invalidation Health Check On Query Cache On
What is "Invalidation"? I can't find anything that properly describes what
that means. I have pgpool2 v3.1.0 and the 3.0.3 pgpoolAdmin.
