[Pgpool-general] pgpool not working with one of the db server upgraded from 8.4.4 to 9.0.4

I think the reason of your problem is because you are using a different version of PostgreSQL in each db server. I recommend you to install the same version of PostgreSQL in your servers.

Hi,

You should not mix different major version of PostgreSQL.  If you
upgrade master DB to 9.0.x, your problem should go away.
