A nice picture, but it does not make much sense! 
Streaming replication is great in that you can't bypass it easily.
Your setup should be changed to 1 master db and 3 slaves, because each 
slave can get the xlog streamed.
I wouldn't mix statement based- and streaming replication.

I wonder, how pgpool would handle rewritten SQL statements by itself. ;-)
