[Pgpool-general] 3.0.3: pool_init_pool_passwd: couldn't open /etc/pool_passwd. reason: Permission denied

Are you going to use md5 auth in replication mode or master/slave
mode? Then you need to create /etc/pool_passwd with appropreate
permissin and owner ship so that pgpool can access the file. Otherwise
you can ignore the message.
