[Pgpool-general] pgpool & slony switchover question

Hi all;

I have a scenario like this:

3 servers:
db1 = slony master
db2 = slony slave
pool1 = pgpool node

I want to perform maintenance on db1 but I dont want to interrupt connections.
I can do a slony switchover however once its complete I suspect pgpool will
continue to send writes to db1 until some event takes place such as a detatch
node, tdb1 becomes unavailable and the pgpool health check see's it as
unavailable.

Is there any way to avoid this bit where writes will still go to db1 after the
switchover but before the pgpool instance is forced to to a failover? Is
this a scenario where connection cacheing is helpful?

Thanks in advance.
