[Pgpool-general] How to change backend postgresql pg_hba.conf without having to restart pgpool?

Hi All;

I have a backend db and pgpool running as a connection pooling mechanism only
(no replication or load balancing). I've disabled pgpool's use of its own
pg_hba file as well.

If I make a change to the backend db's pg_hba.conf file and to a pg_ctl reload
, the change is NOT reflected in pgpool even if I do a pgpool reload. It's
forcing me to do a pgpool restart.

Is there a way around this?

Thanks in advance...

/Kevin
