[Pgpool-general] replication mode : indication when a backend is not active

hello

my customer accidentally ran 'postgres restart' without
telling pgpool-II about that, what happend, is that
everything kept working normally, but without that
restarted backend.

I had no indication of that accept that the logs of
that backend were silent.

running 'pool_status' shows '1' by 'replication_mode'
and 'replication_enabled'.
log of pgpool-II says "NUM_BACKENDS:2", so it was
not trivial to understand the one backend is completly
out of work.

how can I raise an alarm is such case ?
