[Pgpool-general] Using pgpool as proxy for access control

Hello everybody,

I'm searching far a Postgres proxy capable of access control 
list.

I imagine something which is capable to match the SQL requests 
against a regular expressions list, and allow or deny access.

I did not find anything similar in pgpool docs, does that make 
sense to implement?
