If you would like to get logging, you need to add -n option. pgpool
does not detach terminal if you use -n option.

ex) Redirect to a file

   pgpool -n >& /tmp/pgpool.log &

ex) Pipe to another process

   pgpool -n 2>&1 |logger -t pgpool -p local0.info&
