[Pgpool-general] Connecting more then one backend

I am new to PGPOOL and I am trying to setup my connections. I have
PGPOOL configured for two backend servers.

No replication.

No Load Balancing.

 

I can connect to backend_hostname0 thought a GUI interface, but can't
seem to connect to backend_hosname1. I am also finding that I can
connect to the database servers using the psql command line but by pass
PGPOOL.

 

Can anyone help out a NEWBE?
