[Pgpool-general] Load ballanced querys

Hello All.

I'm wondering how practical it would be to have load_ballanced mode enabled 
without having replication enabled?  I'm trying to use pg_pool as a failover 
system to a slony-I cluster.   or is my only option to turn on replication 
and turn off strict mode allowing the write to the slave to fail, but still 
have RO querys load ballanced between the nodes ?

Also is there any plans to move pgpool to using the pgfoundry CVS tree ?
