[pgpool-hackers: 4443] Pgpool PCP get disabled. How it is possible?

Hi guys,

I broke my brain completely. For unclear reasons, pgpool 4.2 (see the same
on pgpool 3.6) doesn't connect to port 9898 for a PCP management nor create
respective socket (/var/run/postgresql/.s.*.9898). And of course, all pcp_*
tools fail.
Parameters listen_addresses and pcp_listen_addresses were checked in the
first place. Both are set up to '*'. Logs in log_error_verbosity =
'verbose' doesn't mention either 9898 nor 'pcp' at all.

I suspect it's not a pgpool configuration issue. Because there are other
setups with very similar configurations that have both: tcp port created
and listen and FS socket. And PCP there works well.

I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks...
