[pgpool-hackers: 936] PGpool fail to escalate standby with power-off

Hi,

I am trying to set up two pgpool servers to manage four backend postgres database servers (on 6 different virtual machines). The pgpool works fine, switching from active to standby ("escalating to master pgpool") when I kill the pgpool process on the active node. But if I use 'shutdown -h now' or power-off the active node, no escalation will happen, just saying ["xxx" has not send the heartbeat signal yet']. Below is the log messages from the two pgpool servers:

Any help is greatly appreciately!

Jian
p.s. BTW, I am using repmgr to manage the database replications and automatic failovers.
